OFFICIAL Tennessee Titans season Predictions

The long and dreadful seven-month offseason is over, Tennessee Titans and NFL Football are back! Here are my official Titans season predictions and awards for the 2023-24!!

Record Prediction: 10-7, AFC South Champions

The Titans rank 13th in strength of schedule this year, with their toughest games being against the Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers, Seahawks, and two meetings versus the Jags. Though the Titans will likely be underdogs in all of these games, I expect them to win a couple of them because Mike Vrabel always finds a way to guide this team to two or three upset wins a year. Plus, the AFC South is awful besides Jax, and I fully expect the Titans to sweep the Colts and Texans. If the Titans can break their injury curse this season, I see 10 wins and the AFC South Crown. Yes, the Titans will win the AFC South in 2023, and this is without bias. People forget that the Titans were 7-3 last year before all the injuries at QB and the Offensive Line. The team from last year is exponentially worse than this year’s team, and the Titans usually shock the world when they are doubted…

OPOY: Derrick Henry, RB

The easiest award to predict ever, as Derrick Henry will continue to reign supreme in 2023. Signing Deandre Hopkins and improving the wide receiver room was great, but Henry is still the focal point of this Titans’ offense. The addition of Tyjae Spears should help Henry get some extra rest during the season, but he will still see a large workload. Expect Derricks’ numbers to be better from last year as Ran Carthon emphasized the offensive line in the offseason to help out the King. Expect another magical season from the living freight train in 2023!!

Stats: 1,700 rushing yards, 15 TDS, 4.7 YPC, Pro Bowl, First Team All-Pro

DPOY: Kevin Byard, S

Everyone is going to pick Big Jeff Simmons to win this award, rightfully so. But I’m going to show some love to one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL. The Mayor of Murfreesboro has solidified himself as the greatest safety in Titans’ history, and he isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Byard is a straight Ball-Hawk who flat-out makes big plays when it counts the most. Jefferey Simmons is going to have a dominant year, but Kevin Byard is going to show why he is the best safety in the National Football League with an All-Pro Campaign in 2023…

Stats: 5 INTS, 10 PD, Pro Bowl, First Team All-Pro

Breakout Star: Chig Okonkwo, TE

Hopkins and Burks are getting most of the attention when it comes to Titans’ pass catchers, but don’t forget about the NFL’s next great Tight End. Chig had a shockingly good rookie season and is ready to take the next step in year two. Okonkwo will serve as the full-time, starting TE this season and will see way more action than he did in his rookie season. The former Maryland star’s versatility will be key for the Titans’ offense in 2023, as Okonkwo can line up as a traditional TE, a fullback, and maybe even out wide. Expect a monster year two from the charismatic and fun tight end!!

Stats: 57 catches, 750 yards, 6 TDS

Most to Prove: Kristian Fulton, CB

Entering a contract year, Fulton has to prove that he should be in the Titans’ long-term plans after this year. The 25-year-old has been pretty good when he’s on the field, but he’s never on the field. Fulton has never played 14 or more games in a season his entire career and played just 11 games last season. Heading into 2023, Fulton must show that he can stay healthy and consistently shut down the other team’s best receiver. If not, we could see the former LSU star on a different team in 2024….

Stats: 15 games played, 3 ints, 9 pds

Playoff Predictions: Titans win one playoff game, lose in divisional round

Call me a homer, but I think this Titans team can win a game in the playoffs. They haven’t done it since 2019, but I think they do it this year. After that, I see no chance that they beat a Kansas City, Cincinnati, or Buffalo in late January. One playoff win is the ceiling for the Titans in 2023….
